 As
you've probably already guessed, my name is Jeff Morin. I'm a cartoonist
and illustrator based in the small town of Nice (pronounced
"niece"), which is nestled on the shores of Clearlake,
California's largest natural fresh water lake.
Back in 2004 I completed the Fundamentals of Art course from the Arts Instruction School. Since, then I've continued to hone my skills with the goal of becoming the best cartoonist ever. Will I ever reach that goal? No one can say for sure, but I'm going to try anyway. With a focus on cartoon art, I've taken on a variety of projects ranging from T-shirt design to promotional comic strips. I've also designed characters for an animated series, designed and illustrated characters used in branding, book illustrations, designed DVD and CD covers, logos, and a whole lot more. When not doing freelance illustration I draw comics for my website Inner-nut.com. I love drawing comics and I've been doing it ever since I was a wee lad. Doing so has helped me become a better artist in a short amount of time and continues to do so. With most of my illustrations I start with good old fashion pencil and paper. Then I scan my pencil drawing into the computer and complete the illustration digitally using my Wacom tablet and either Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. Doing things digitally may be my preference but I have been known to occasionally do things with more traditional media if the project calls for it.
